How to Check In and Check Out at a Hotel

How to Check In

1. Go to the front desk
2. When you arrive at the hotel, go to the front desk. Give your name and reservation
3. Say your name and show your reservation if needed.
4. “I have a reservation under the name [Your Name].” Show your passport
5. In Japan, hotels usually ask foreign guests to show their passport. Complete the check-in process
6. You may need to:Fill out a form
7. Confirm your stay details
8. Pay (if not prepaid)
9. Receive your room key
10. The staff will give you your room key or card and explain:

12. Breakfast time
13. Wi-Fi information

How to Check Out

1. Go to the front desk
   When you leave, go back to the front desk.
2. Return your key
   Give back your room key or card.
3. Pay any extra charges
   You may need to pay for:
   • Drinks from the minibar
   • Additional services
4. Confirm your check-out
   “I’d like to check out, please.”
5. Leave the hotel
   That’s it—you’re done!
