This is Tokyo’s most famous season, but it’s also one of the busiest. Book your flights and hotels well in advance.

These months offer mild temperatures, lower humidity, and ideal conditions for exploring Tokyo on foot.
Budget Travelers
January, February, and June
Hotel prices are often lower than during the peak cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons.
My personal favorite months are May and November.
The weather is usually comfortable, humidity is low, and it’s much easier to spend the entire day sightseeing. You can enjoy long walks without the intense summer heat, and there are generally fewer crowds than during the cherry blossom season.
If your travel dates are flexible and you’re looking for the best overall experience, I’d personally recommend visiting in May or November.
